Unveiling Inner Wisdom
It is worth your time to meditate on these things: What should you desire and what should you be averse to, your impulses to act (motivations), and your judgement. All are woven together: judgment affecting desire, desires affection your action. Use your reason in this practice. Find guidance and wisdom in the virtues that you hold dearest – those you desire to give evidence of as your true self. It is not enough to think occasionally or lightly on these things, but each day setting your mind to practice reflection and meditation in these areas.
Take time each morning and sit quietly. Focus on your breath, let thoughts come and go without judgment. Reflect on your desires, aversions, impulses, and judgments. What patterns or insights arise? Should you take time to journal this? Will it deepen your self-understanding and growth? Do what is needed to move further along in your journey.
