The Measure of Resilience

“It’s not whether you get knocked down, it’s whether you get up.” – Vince Lombardi

How quickly can you recover? How fast can you get back on your feet after being knocked down? It’s unrealistic to think you’ll never falter or face hard hits in life. Avoiding these moments is natural and wise when possible, but even more critical is preparing yourself to respond when setbacks inevitably occur.

When life hits hard, you have a choice: wallow in self-pity, focus on your shortcomings, or see yourself as the victim of an unfair circumstance. Or, you can control your response, choose how you rebound, and rise again. This is where true character shines, where resilience and fortitude are proven. In the end, your response to adversity is the true measure of who you are.
