Progressive Overloading

Goals are temporary. The pursuit and attainment of one goal opens the door to new goals and aspirations. You gain access to higher intelligence and power through these endeavors resulting in continuous growth and elevation.

Consider the concept in strength training called “progressive overloading.” For your muscles to get stronger and grow, you must continuously training them beyond their capacity, increasing the weight each week as you progress through a training block.

In the same way, challenge your mind, spirit, and the virtues you aim to embody. Seek out challenging things and set ambitious goals day by day, knowing that these goals simply unlock the next set of goals, “progressively overloading” all areas in which you desire growth.

“The virtue of a person is measured not by his outstanding efforts, but by his everyday behavior.” —Blaise Pascal
