EQUANIMITY

I remain calm, collected, and even-tempered in all situations. My emotions do not dictate my behavior, nor do circumstances control my response. I choose to act with intention rather than react impulsively. My equanimity is grounded in the understanding that situations are neither good nor bad in themselves; to judge them prematurely is shortsighted and unwise. I accept that I cannot predict the future, so I reserve judgment and allow events to unfold fully.

My state of equanimity does not mean I suppress emotions; instead, it enables me to experience the full range of feelings while maintaining the ability to respond with clarity and wisdom. When others are overwhelmed by emotion and chaos, my calm demeanor allows me to see clearly, providing a stable foundation.

My default state of equanimity brings peace, helping me avoid unnecessary stress and anxiety. By maintaining this consistent temperament, I create an atmosphere of trust, safety, and security for those around me.

"He who is not disturbed by anything, who has conquered himself and is unmoved by pleasure and pain alike, is fit for immortality."
— Bhagavad Gita
