BUILD UP

“Be an encourager. The world has plenty of critics already.” – Dave Willis

Criticizing is easy. Creation is hard. Anyone can spout an opinion, throwing words out carelessly. But to create—this requires effort, focus, and intention. Creation is about turning ideas into reality, about building something meaningful from nothing, about pouring your energy into shaping something worthwhile.

Criticism, on the other hand, often seeks to tear down what creation has built. It’s easier to destroy than to create. Yet, how often does careless criticism demolish what someone has worked so hard to build? Critics do not carry the burden of creation—they do not understand the weight behind the work. Their words may come without love, understanding, or care.

Creation is a labor of precision and purpose. When you criticize without thought, you risk damaging what someone has poured their heart into.

Choose to be an encourager. Be additive. Offer support, constructive feedback, and praise for the effort someone has put in. Help them build and grow, not tear them down. This is where love and compassion meet the act of creation—through encouragement, you uplift rather than hinder.

Focus on what you can build to contribute to the greater good. Choose to be part of the solution, not part of the destruction.
