choice and chance

“The chains of habit are too weak to be felt until they are too strong to be broken.” – Samuel Johnson

Each day, you’re given a chance and a choice. Will you take a chance, reach beyond comfort, and seize the opportunity before you? Will you open doors to growth and progress? Or, will you let them slip by, choosing distraction over purpose?

Will you wake up early, or will you sleep in and let the day drift away? Will you read a book or will you zone out in front of the TV? Will you pay attention to the fleeting moments with your family, or will your phone steal this precious time?

Far too often, you allow comfort and laziness to lead the way, robbing you of the growth and fulfillment you deserve. Snap out of it. Don’t be a fool, a sloth, or a slave to distractions and fleeting desires.

You have the power to lead yourself with intention. Don’t be a slave to comfort or fleeting desires. Respect yourself enough to make choices that align with your long-term goals. Craft the life you envision. Don’t wait for life to happen by accident. Take action. Take a chance on yourself.

“You may delay, but time will not.” – Benjamin Franklin
