Capacity Management
Overflowing Containers
A container can only hold a given amount before it begins to overflow. You can compress the contents only so much, trying to fill it further and secure it with a lid, but eventually, you will find that its capacity has been reached. In short, you can only stuff so much inside before things begin to ooze out from unexpected places.
While it is good to attempt to remove some of the contents to create relief from the strain you place on the container, inevitably, you will always find more to put inside. You can attempt to build a larger container, but still, you will fill it with stuff. Patch it up, repair it, build more containers, but you will continue to accumulate more unless you find ways to start discarding the contents.
How is this done? Resolve them each completely. Refuse to put them back into the containers. Create more space and capacity through regular efforts to clean up the messes you try to stuff away. You will always need a place to put things, but you don’t need to cram everything away.
