Accountability
“Accountability breeds response-ability.” – Stephen R. Covey
I hold myself accountable every day. Each night, I take time to reflect, taking inventory of my actions and words. I do not allow myself to escape without inspection or evade responsibility. I fully accept the consequences of my decisions and am unwavering in my commitment to doing what is right.
Accountability breeds trust and growth. It is how I honor and respect the life I have been gifted. It allows me to improve, develop, and progress. Partnered with discipline, accountability ensures I stay on course, making thoughtful decisions that align with my values and goals.
In my self-reflection, I ask and answer difficult questions. This process focuses my attention on better ways to navigate my words, actions, and decisions. Holding myself accountable makes me attractive to teams where high trust and high performance thrive. It reinforces my boundaries, sets clear expectations, and ensures that I never stray too far from the path leading to my dreams.
