Uncommon

“If you want something you’ve never had, you must be willing to do something you’ve never done.” – Thomas Jefferson

I am uncommon.

I strive for uncommon results and understand that to achieve them, I must take uncommon actions. I am willing to step outside the norm and embrace what others refuse. Most will look on and not understand, because they are content with the average, the ordinary, the routine.

What I do—long before the sun rises or when no one is watching—is not part of society’s usual rhythm. I swim upstream, defying the current, driven by a thirst to uncover the source of life and its mysteries. I am not satisfied with mediocrity. My perspective, my actions, and my pursuits are foreign to most. But I do not know any other way, nor do I concern myself with the opinions of others.

I choose the path least taken—or seek out the one never taken. This is my path.

I am uncommon.
