Strength in Solitude
The more you say, the more likely you are to trip over your own words and be seen as a fool. Better to refrain and just listen. Rare is the person who can deliberately keep out of a conversation and subsist without its validation. Silence is a skill and a strength that few master.
Better to take up company with your shadow. Become comfortable with this companion alone, not relying on others to aid you in full. People will, at times, fall behind, quit, or bail. But your shadow remains your faithful companion—always beside you, through every triumph and every failure.
When others see your success, it may remind them of where they have fallen short, where they chose not to get back up. Do not be upset with them, but do not feel bad about your achievements, either. It is not your duty to dim your light to comfort others’ insecurities.
Stand with your shadow and let silence be your guide. Words are fleeting, but your actions and resilience speak volumes. Build your strength in solitude, find confidence without external validation, and let your quiet determination set you apart.
