Quiet
“In the attitude of silence, the soul finds the path in a clearer light, and what is elusive resolves itself into crystal clearness.” – Mahatma Gandhi
I am in no rush to speak. I am patient to respond. I am quiet. In this process, my mind is freed, allowing me to contemplate without external distractions intruding. The quiet is my sanctuary, a place of peace and rejuvenation that I seek out and create.
The stillness of quiet does not discomfort me; it brings me peace. Clarity arises in the quiet. Remaining silent is not a sign of ignorance or lack of opinion; it is an exercise in wisdom. By honoring others with silence, I create space for deeper understanding.
In the quiet, I hear the voice of my heart and soul. I yearn to hear them, so I retreat into the quiet each day. Even in the pauses during conversation or the spaces between my words, there is more communicated than what is said. Listening, when done in stillness, frees me to learn and gain insight. I am quiet.
