Progress and Change
“Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.” – George Bernard Shaw
Progress does not always mean doing more of the same thing. Sometimes, true progress lies in doing things differently—reassessing your actions, reducing certain efforts, or even stopping activities altogether. Progress is not a straight line of constant output; it’s a dynamic process of adaptation.
Choosing a new path doesn’t mean you’re working less. In fact, it often requires more effort, refocused with greater intensity and precision. It demands self-awareness to recognize when what once worked no longer serves you and the courage to pivot without seeing it as failure. Make the decision. Take the required action.
Trim the excess, refine your approach, and shed what no longer fits your growth. Be like a sculptor chiseling away stone to reveal a masterpiece—sometimes doing less is what reveals the best within you.
Growth doesn’t come from doing more of the same; it comes from doing what is necessary. Stay adaptable, stay focused, and do not be afraid to change.
