Overcoming the Shame of Strategic Choices
You may find yourself forced to decide between two options: one, engage and risk setbacks that could delay your preparation for a larger goal, or two, withdraw, and eliminate the risk of the setback entirely. Whatever choice is made, you will need to embrace it without shame or guilt.
In the past, you have taken the less risky option and experienced feelings of shame and embarrassment. What is this to you now? Yes, your ego was bruised and your pride hurt. Get over yourself quickly. These are wasteful emotions.
Redirect your energy toward your preparation. Do not limit your perspective and allow it to be so narrow. Have a more complete perspective and understanding of the long-term. Get past it and move on.
