Judgment's Trap

How quickly you form opinions and pass judgment on others. Yet, are you not also flawed, subject to the same weaknesses and faults as those you criticize? Even if you manage to restrain yourself from certain wrongs, you cannot deny your inclination towards them.

It's not the actions of others that cause you trouble, but rather your judgments of them. The real harm comes from attaching yourself to these judgments, allowing them to fester and consume your thoughts. Instead, make a conscious effort to remove and dismiss these assessments and outrage.

Are you even certain that the actions of others are truly wrong? Often, you judge based on limited information, seeing only a few frames of a full-length movie. You lack the omniscience to understand the complexities of others' lives and the larger plan at play.

If then you find that your patience is tested and indignation rises within you, regain perspective. Life is but a tiny fragment in the vast expanse of time and space. In the grand scheme of things, your troubles, and grievances pale in comparison.

Remember, no true harm has come to you because of these irritations. In fact, the greater grief lies in allowing yourself to be consumed by judgment and outrage. It's far better to pass over these things without further thought, embracing a mindset of understanding and compassion.
