Freedom from Opinion
"Things have no natural power to shape our judgments." - Marcus Aurelius
Must you have an opinion on all things? Society seems to scream out and demand it, but you have the freedom to choose otherwise. Consider the many unknowns in life that do not upset you simply because you do not have an opinion on them. What if you consciously let certain things become completely irrelevant or nonexistent to you?
Become intentional with your thoughts. You do not need to be swayed into rumination on every topic that crosses your path. Approach things with curiosity and intrigue, avoiding the pressure to quickly form judgments or opinions. Even after exploration, you are not obligated to finalize a firm opinion.
If pressed on a matter, embrace the freedom of this moment. You are still in the process of investigation and discovery, and your silence on certain topics can be more powerful than a hastily formed opinion.
