Driven by Difficulty
Why Do You Choose to Do Hard Things?
There are many layers to this answer, but put simply, you enjoy it and are drawn to what is difficult, seeing it as a privilege to be able to do challenging things. Yes, you have a deep desire to prove to yourself that you can do more than what others think or say that you can do. But beyond that basic ego-driven drive, there lies something more. By doing hard things, you set an example for your kids, honor your father, and, as you’ve proven time and time again to yourself, this is the only way for you to grow and even heal. A natural curiosity for doing things that others avoid drives you. Embrace this and see that you are doing what is natural to you, even though it may seem or be unnatural to everyone else.
